must-reads

I believe self-help books are great tools for growth – both professionally and personally.

One of my goals after completing my Disney College Program is to read one book a month that will help strengthen my skills, expand my knowledge and motivate me during my path as a professional.

Please let me know any books that have changed your life! Below is a list of that books I’ve read with a link to my comment. Right now (April 2012) it’s a small list, but we all have to start somewhere!

April 2012 – Zingerman’s Guide to GIving Great Service

The smell of spring is in the air…along with deli meat? Zingerman’s Guide to Giving Great Service  by Ari Weinzweig is my professional-read for April 2012. A great, and easy-to-read, book that demonstrates how treating your customers like royalty isn’t all that difficult.

April showers bring May flowers…and discovering my personal strengths! The must-read of May is Strengths Finder 2.0 by Tom Rath. Blog post about my thoughts once I finish the book coming soon.

June & July 2012 – Linchpin

This month I will read Linchpin: Are You Indispensable? by Seth Godin. A linchpin is someone in an organization that is irreplaceable – they are valuable. Not because of their specific role, but because of their personality, work ethic and results.

Well, all good things must come to an end! Due to my acceptance into OSU’s Fisher College of Business of MBA program, I am focusing on reading for my classes and learning as much as I can about brand management, accounting, data analysis and business in general.

I will no longer be updating this page, but please check out my blog, resume and please feel free to stay connected with me!
